Students, after all the learning we have just participated in during our Space Unit, I thought you’d be fascinated to read about this. Please post a comment on my blog no later than Wednesday telling me what you think about this new planet AND I want to know what you would have named it if you found it. I found this part really amazing : The pictures also reveal a star in its youth — 60 million years old compared to our sun, which is 4 billion years old — which will provide a wealth of information for astronomers keen to establish the chemical make-up of planetary systems and how they form. WOW!!!
Mrs. Power,
I would have named the planet something that had to do with a Pegasus because it is fairly close to the constellation Pegasus. Anyways that is really cool and hope you feel better!

I also posted about the new planet on my blog. Isn’t it just amazing. I think that I would have named the planet 2008 because it is 2008. Another idea is they could name it after the person who first discovered the satalite images, they are both good ieas. Anyway I have been looking around for more info on it. Bye!

If I could name that planet I would call it the Planet of Light because it looks like it has many light around it. Another name I would call it is explosion because It looks like a planet that had explored.

I think this new planet is a peculiar shape. It kind of looks a cat’s eye. I would call it Katsai (Cat’s Eye?), because of its shape.

Wow! That’s really amazing. I would name it staye (star+eye) because it looks like an eye and it also reveals a star 60 million years old. I also wonder how far away this planet is from the sun.
