Hi students
Thanks for all your good wishes on my blog. We haven’t even had Wenwen (Mimi) for 4 days yet and it is getting better everyday but it is still a huge adjustment for her and every new face seems to result in tears. She has obviously had very good love and care for the past year and is grieving for her foster parents and older brother.
She slept from 8 last night til 6.30 this morning so we are on a winner there, every night has gone really smoothly so far and her daytime naps (about 2 by 2 hours) are also going well.
I would love to come in to class and show her off and I am hoping to get in to see Zack before he leaves but for now please check out our website for a few pics of the journey to Guiyang.

Mimi is REALLY REALLY REALLY cute! I hope we can meet her! That would be amazing. It’s always hard for someone to start a new, which is what Mimi is dealing with right now. Having to leave her old family must be really hard on her. But I’m sure she will fit in fine with Hannah as her new sister!

Thanks to all of you who commented on my blog today, I really appreciate it and I can’t wait for her to meet you too. As I said though, new things are still freaking her out a fair bit and she has certainly had her share of those this week.
Thanks for your kind words and encouragement and make sure you are the best students you can be for your teacher in these next two weeks. So far so good.

What a contrast in weather you are having after last week, our classroom was around 41degrees! The airconditioning is a little noisy box an the wall and a fan which made littel difference. Wea ll sat and painted during the afternoon seeing as we had quick drying results!
It is so nice to finally see you as a complete (for now? family). You may be wanting more later of course. Hannah has grown so much in your phot0s! Say hello from Tate as he certainly remembers her and of course we have our scrapbooks to look through now and then on that journey. How is Mim settling in, and how are you three settling in too? She looks like a happy little character who has been waiting for you. Thanks for showing us the photos and your cool website. As a teacher I am a little jealous of it! Talk to you soon. How about getting Skype? I use it all the time. It’s free!
