Secondly, well done today. All 20 of your did your best to play six very exciting games of soccer, sometimes under difficult circumstances. I appreciate your commitment and enthusiasm and I hope you sleep well tonight and are not too tired tomorrow…Try and find a few minutes there to study for tomorrow’s math test!

Here are some of my favorites from years gone by…now I am getting ready to read some of them to my daughter which is very exciting…
- S.E. Hinton (born 1950): American author, wrote The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, That Was Then, This Is Now, and Tex.
- Judy Blume (born 1938): American author; wrote teen classics Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. and Forever.
- C. S. Lewis (1898–1963): 95 million copies of his Chronicles of Narnia series have been published worldwide since The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe debuted in 1950.
- V.C. Andrews (1923-1986): American author of several popular gothic horror family sagas for teenagers; examples include Flowers in the Attic and Melody.
- Paul Zindel (born 1936): This Pulitzer-Prize winning American author wrote over 40 young adult novels, including The Pigman. His books have sold over 10 million copies and have been translated into languages all over the globe.
- J.D. Salinger (born 1919): American author of the young adult classic The Catcher in the Rye.

Hi Mrs. Power. I think your title has too many S’s. On your list of favorite authors, I think you left out Ann M. Martin. Also, I only know 2 out of all of your listed authors, C.S. Lewis and Judy Blume. By the way, what does C.S Lewis stand for?

I am sorry that I was not able to join soccer day, but I really enjoyed the photos though. It was awesome. Do you think I can print them out from flickers? I am not a tech person, so no idea how to print them out. Maybe I should take a lesson from Mr. Power.

I read the outsiders and I think Nicholas should be on that list. Another book that I think should be on that list should be Darren Shan. It is an interesting book about vampires and I think boys my age should like it.
